If you are new to the twitter world then you should brush off the dust, shave the beard and crawl out from under the rock and follow these tips to make your tweeting experience beneficial.
Tweet at the right time
The best time to post on twitter according to bit.ly, a tracking service is between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. ET. The highest-click through- rates occur earlier in the week. Posting after 3 p.m. on Fridays or during the weekend are the worst times to post.
Tweet a variety of content
Don’t constantly post regurgitated information. You want to be posting information that is new and relevant to your followers. Don’t find yourself in a rut by always clicking retweet. You have your own mind, use it.
Keep it personal
Respond to your mentions. It shows that you are a real human and not a robot. It is a proven fact that humans trust other humans over robots. Remind your followers that you are a real person, just like them. It will help them make a connection. Tweeting things like, “Nice day today, I wish I was at the beach†will make them realize you are just like them. Who wouldn’t want to be at the beach?
Ask questions
Make your followers interact with you. Asking for engagement is going to bring you the most retweets, comments and interaction. Plus, people like to be challenged. Offering a challenge through social media platforms will turn your fans into super fans!
