You may have heard of Spotify before, but may not know exactly what it does or how it works. It’s a website that has taken listening to music to a whole new level. It’s combined Facebook and music into an interactive music-listening experience.
How does it work?
Spotify is a program that allows you to stream music from your computer and cell phone. Similar to GrooveShark and Pandora, Spotify offers its services for free, but also has a paid option which allows you to stream music without advertisement interruptions or stream time limitations.
Playlists
Spotify gives you the option to make playlists of your favorite songs that you find through their website along with songs you already have on your computer. This feature literally allows you to listen to what you want when you want, rather than merely streaming songs at random.
Sharing
Spotify automatically connects to your Facebook account, making it easy to see which of your friends are using Spotify and what songs they’re listening to. Your favorite songs, artists, and albums can be easily shared, and you can invite friends to join if they haven’t already.
